Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I have been raising a child for the past ten years that is not my biological child. I've known that he wasn't mine since he was two years old but i decided to raise him anyway. As far as I know, his birth father signed over his rights to the child's mother. The mother and I had an arrangement where I got the child every weekend, on holidays and during the summer. He also lived with me for the 08-09 school year. Now the mother is keeping him from me because she and I had a disagreement (which had nothing to do with the child). Do I have any rights in this matter??? Is there anything I can do to keep her from doing this???

Courts, not parents, determine child custody. If there is no court document that gives you any rights to the child and the child is not yours, you probably have no rights here.
l strongly urge you to review this with a family law attorney in your area. This is obviously an important matter for you as well as the child.
