Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

didn't read divorce decree, just signed to get out of marriage

My husband was divorced in '98. We've been married over 1 year, and just last week I looked over his divorce decree. He said he never read it, just signed to get it over with. Well, first issue is that all these years he's been paying $800 in child support because ''that's what ex told me it was''. In the decree it is supposed to be $600. He pays directly to her as ordered. Also in the divorce it states that she is to be left the beneficiary on his life insurance, and that he's to never change that in his lifetime. He is in the military. We want to see about getting the child support changed-we're certain it will go up from the $600 but he's overpaid also, along with the insurance beneficiary. We need a great family practice lawyer in the Ft. Hood area. My questioins are: 1) Is there any chance to count the overpayment of child support off of future payments? ; 2) Is it possible that she will get the life insurance? The child will still get child support out of his estate if something did happen to him. 3) Will another biological child influence either of these? Thanks!
