Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I receive child support for my 16 year old son. his father ows 38,000 in arrears. My son has now gone to live with his father. What will I have to pay and/or will they just take that amount out of the arreas that he ows.

It doesn't work that way (usually).

What the Judge will PROBABLY do is order you to pay ongoing child support, and order Dad to repay the child support he owes you (back child support).

This happens IF somebody brings these matters (the child's change of residence) to the court's attention by way of a motion for modification.
