I just received a Dr. bill for $850 for plastic surgury on my 16 year old daughters face. I pay child support on this child. She was involved in an accident and was awarded a $300,000 settlement for the accident. The accident was 4 years ago. My X wants me to pay this bill. I had no prior notice. I will pay this, but I'll need some time. Shouldn't the settlement cover this? It was put in a trust, she will get it when she is 18. she is 16.. we are in texas. I have always paid my child support and 1/2 the Dr. bills. I just don't have the money to pay this all at once!
