my ex has recently filed a child support. we werent married, child stays half of the month with me and half with her. we dont have legal custody of our child just verbal agreement. now she is asking for child support. is it possible for me to still be ordered to pay child support even if i support and live with my child half of the year?

Yes. You need to hire a family law attorney to represent you and present your side of the case to ensure the child support obligation reflects this custody arrangement and to ensure you continue to have this type of access to your child. If you try to go this alone you may find yourself paying a lot of child support and seeing your child a lot less.
