Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I recently filed for child support online in Texas for my 4 month old son. I have not spoken to his biological father since I was 3 months pregnant when he told me he did not want to be a part of the child's life. His name is not on my son's birth certificate or any other legal documents.
-how long does it typically take to receive payments from the time the case was opened?
-if he admits that he is the father, will a DNA test be required?
-will we ever have to be in a courtroom at the same time to establish child support?
Any other useful information would be appreciated.
