Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was recently married, and just found out that the divorce from my first marriage was not finalized (The case was apparently dismissed because my first wife did not show up in court because she was unaware of the court date). Is there anything I can do to make it so that the first marriage shows as being over when it should've been so that my second marriage is valid?

You need to hunt up your first wife and have a serious talk with her as soon as possible.

You will probably need to refile the first divorce.
