Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I recently talked to the courthouse of which I pay child support for my children. My oldest is about to be 21 years of age and my court orders are till the age of 18. After speaking to courthouse rep I was told to write a letter stating that according to court orders I would like my child support to stop, which I did so and with no results. My other child I was ordered to pay arrears and of 2700 dollars and add him to my insurance which I have done both and the court order was in 2003 at 100 dollars per month. How can I at the least stop the child support of my oldest and the extra 100 on the other child? I would like to get back my overpayment if possible. Dont know what to do from here.

Check your decree. Most decrees require child support to be paid until the later of the child reaching 18 or graduating from high school. If child support is being deducted and paid to the attorney general's office, you should contact them to find out what they need to fix things.

Did you send a copy of your letter to the child support division of the attorney general's office?

You will probably need to hire an attorney to help you on this.
