I recieved a copy of an original petition for divorce from my wifes attorney office. What will happen next?

You will either be formally served with notice of the suit OR you will be asked to sign a waiver of service. You can get ahead of the jet a little and just file an answer to the suit and a counterpetition, which will insure that nothing happens in this case without you first having a chance to have your say.
