Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Recognition of Mexican Marriages in the U.S.
Are Mexican marriages recognized in the U.S.? If so, can the legal divorce proceedings be done in the U.S., whether an alien or visitor? If yes, can it be done by American lawyers?
If the Mexican marriage is not recognized by the State or Federal government, is each individual (even though considered legally married in Mexico) then considered independent and/or single regardless of accompanying offspring in the U.S.?

Yes, Mexican marriages are recognized in the U.S. If you want to obtain a divorce, there are residency requirements that you must meet in Texas.
