refinance house with ex

my ex and I were suppose to sell the house as part of divorce. 12 years later I still have the house and he wants me to buy him out. I have made all the payments do I have to buy him out. he is 10 years behind in child support as well and doesn't think he should have to pay.

You need to go see a good family law attorney. Your divorce decree should spell out the terms of the sale of the residence. What you can be required to do depends on what it says. As for the unpaid child support, why haven't you filed an enforcement against him?

Just a minor amplification of Ms. Bushman's very appropriate reply - sue him for the back child support and if you're inclined you could allow a credit for his 1/2 of the house -- calculating the value as of 10 years ago. Please see a lawyer because he does have a valid claim to the house. Might be offset by the child support arrears. Good Luck.
