Refinancing our home

me and my husband filed bankruptcy 5 years ago and the payment was comming out of my check we are now seperated and he has the house. with me being gone do i not have a right to anything concerning the house. I feel he owe me some of the money he gets because i am on the house to. is it true after a year i have abanden the house?

If you are married in Texas, community property continues to accumulate as long as you are married.

I've had couples separated for over 10 years and the parties had to split everything accumulated during their separation.

I don't know where he got the 1 year abandonment law. I hear about it often but no one can tell me where it is printed. Check with him and let me know if he can give me a statute to refer to and then I'll comment more.
