Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Relocating with children

Me and my husband have joint custody of our two children. The children have been restricted to a specific county. I plan on getting married to a man in spring who lives in another state but is only 2 hours away. I can not ask him to move where I'm located because he has a wonderful paying job. Is there a possibility I can relocate my children? My husband in a paramedic and is gone from home 48 hours at a time. I'm concerned who would look after them or I may consider giving him primary care.

Re: Relocating with children

You would have to file a motion to modify for the county restriction. The fact that your ex is an emt with 48 hour shifts might be a factor in your favor but if he could arrange quality care, he could conceivably be the primary CP.
