Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Relocation of Parent with custody

If the child's, during a divorce, primary residence is with the mother, can the father stipulate how far she can move outside of the current county, say 30 miles? The mother & father have joint custody.

In Harris county, it's all negotiable.

Some people actually restrict to a school district, subdivision, or whatever.

I don't like specifying a specific subdivision. Too restrictive.

Good luck.
