removing name from birth certificate

A woman put my husband's name on her childs BS, it is not his child and he never signed anything. How do you remove a name?

If they were not married, then obviously this should not have happened without his written consent. Since it did, advise Vital Records, but they may refuse to take his name off without a court order.

To get a court order, will require filing the petition and having paternity established. Hire a lawyer in/or near the county of the child's residence.
