Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Removing a Person from Your Household

I would like to know if I can legally ask my 19 y.o. child to leave my home? Must I allow the child a certain amount of time before she/he has to leave?

Yes you can. Assuming they are not on the lease or mtg, kick them out if you need to. Ideally, give them some money for a couple of days hotel/food. Tell to make plans to return in 2 days to pick up stuff off of the driveway. Your description leads me to believe that the child should not reenter the house. If necessary the police/sheriff will do a civil chaperone.
