Can I rent a room from a guy, for me and my kids???

I am a mother of three and I am currently seperated. My husband has been in affair and has even gotten the lady pregnant. I have moved into a rent home, but recently I have received threats from him. I have a male friend, who is father of three, and own a 4 bedroom home; he has agreed to rent out two rooms for me and the kids. this would be a good financial decision for me and I would fee and be safer. Would this effect my divorce.

First, if he is making threats, call the cops and report him! Don't just ignore it. Then, let's face it, you know he is going to claim you are having an affair with your male friend if you move in with him. Whether or not that's a big issue depends on lots of things.
