i want to request that someone, a third party talk with my kids away from me and my exwife. i dont think that they are in the best place as she has custody. when i brought it up to her she said NO! why and how is it her choice? what can i do toget it done? i am not trying to cause problems just want whats best for my kids.

Am not sure what you are envisioning. If you have Joint Managing Conservatorship (or even if it is Possessory) there are specific rights spelled out in the order. One of those rights is to seek medical, psychological, treatment. If you have that right, and it is independent, then during one of your possession periods, take the kids to a counselor. Another alternative is to meet with their school counselor, and see if he/she can be of assistance. If you do not have these rights or alternatives, and she is not willing to mediate with you, then you will have file with the court and request a modification, and/or order of the court to allow it. If your children are old enough, you can request that the judge talk to them. In order to do that you must have a case on file asking for a modification. I recommend that you talk to a family law attorney in your county.
Merely having them "talk to someone" will not accomplish anything.
I always recommend mediation but both parties must be reasonable & willing to negotiate.
