Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Reset Final Trial

How can I reset a final trial date? My attorney just filed a withdrawal of counsel, and I need more time to get another attorney. What do I need to file?

Re: Reset Final Trial

If the attorney has obtained an order of withdrawal, and is out of the case, you should file a Motion for Continuance, asking for more time to hire new counsel.

If you can repair the attorney-client relationship, you should do that, since your trial date is close.

If you attorney is still on the case, ask him/her to file a Motion for Continuance. The attorney is obligated to protect your interests while still your attorney.
