Based on what you have written, if both you and your ex agree to modify the current Court order which governs custody and visitation, the Court should grant the agreed modification. There are a few questions which would require some answers to before providing you with any other suggestions. First, which Court issued your current order regarding custody, child support and visitation? Second, in your opinon, would your ex be willing to agree to such a modification? Third, why is your 8 year old wanting to relocate? Fourth, what are the specific terms of your current Court order regarding child custody, visitation and support? These are just a few of the questions which would require further information on before any local attorney or law firm would be able to assist you with this matter. You may review the firm's website at www.thebrashearlawfirm.com for more information regarding child custody, visitation and support.
