Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am a resident in texasI recently discovered that my husband who I married in las has a wife also in Texas I have left him do I need to file for a divorce because j heard that it makes our rmarriage void

You are correct. However if the first marriage ends, your marriage is ratified. So you need to find out if the first marriage is still in effect. If it is not you need to file for a divorce. If the first marriage is in effect, you need to contact a family lawyer to see about getting your marriage anulled.

I concur with the above response, except that if the first marriage is in effect, I would retain an attorney and file for an Annulment immediately, and possibly other causes of action, as you have the grounds to, at least, file receive an Annulment.
