Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

respondent with no attorney

i am a female age 64, respondent in contested divorce,no income except ss 637.00, hsb moved out,filed, no support help, without medication and need help with food....court date nov 15, i have no clue as to what he is claiming and what i need to do. can get no legal help, exhausted inquires with legal aid, do not qualify..how can i find help.

I am in Plano, and have no way to directly assist you in Lufkin. If you have exhausted all assistance agencies, then the only avenue I can suggest, is that you explain this to the judge at the first hearing. It is not a substitute for legal counsel, but the judge is normally willing to hear your side of the story, and grant you some leeway.
