Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
who is responible for getting child to school
my husband and his ex recently went to court to determin where his son would live and go to school. We lost and my step son (six years old) went back with his mom after stay with us for almost a year. Now she in the hospital and can't take him to school. She lives in another town about an hour away and wants us to find a way to take him and pick him up from school every day so he doesn't miss anymore. Due to work schedules this is just impossible to do every day. We don't want him to fall behind and but we are running out of option and she doesn't know when she'll be getting out of the hospital (she having complications with her pregnancy) Her new husband can't or won't help her and she says there is no one in her town that can help her and she's getting angry at us that he's missing school but offers no solutions to the problem. Will my husband still be held reliable if his son misses to many days even though she is the one that is suppose to be responible for him?

Re: who is responible for getting child to school
This represents a major change in circumstances, and your husband should consider returning to court, and requesting further modification, at least temporarily.
