Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Responsibilities of a Social Worker conducting a Social Study
What laws, if any, are violated if a court order social study of both homes is not completed. Example: Social Worker visits one home but not the other, interviews selected occupants of one home, but not the child in question. Fails to contact school officials. Then enters unfavorable report about home not visited.
Payoffs are suspect.

No laws are violated but the SW has certainly opened him(her)self up to a lengthy cross examination and discredit to his process. HeIShe) probably violated the court's order which likely said investigate the circumstances of both parties.
