Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Who would be responsible

I had a child out of wedlock in 1993. I married an attornies son in 1994. The biological father signed over his rights with the exception of an adoption. This was supposed to occur. After termination, my ex father in law stated we were not ready for adoption, which we were, we had all documentation there and is on file. My ex father in law accepted responsibility until the adoption was finalized, which it never was. Who can I hold responsible for child support and medical insurance. Each family is financially set. Yet neither help support my son. They each say they are not responsible, one because of termination, and the other because no adoption. Without an adoption it should have never happened. The judge agreed and stated he should have never allowed this to happen. Please Help!!
