retirement death benefits
my mother was receiving retirement payments when passed away. Did not leave a beneficiary listed, does this mean the company keeps the retirement. my dad passed away 1 yr. previous, and their are three children

Contact HR at the company where she worked, they will have the contact information for the retirement fund manager. Ask them for a copy of the retirement papers. It will answer your question.
