Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

retirement

I am recently divorced and my attorney and I are asking for 1/2 of his retirement. My attorney recently asked for the quaddro from the city of Houston (he's a firefigher) and they supplied my attorney with only the amount that he had in his retirement. I was under the impression I was entitled to the full amount (The city's Contributiion to his retirement and his part). Please let me know where I can find this so I can direct this to my attorney.

Re: retirement

If you are asking for legal help when you are paying an attorney you should hire another attorney. The law states the property division should be a fair, just and equitable division and that is sometimes left up to the courts to decide. If you need an aggressive lawyer call us.
