Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Can I get retroactive child support for my 15 year old?

My ex-wife and I were divorced in Harris County Texas in 1990. I was granted sole custody of our 3 year old son. No child support was ordered to be paid by my ex-wife at that time. My son is now almost 15 years old, and is rightfully due to receive support from his mother. Can I go back to court and sue for child support, as well as retro-active support for previous years? I have not been in contact with his mother in several years, but I believe she has remarried and is living in Ohio ( I would need help in locating her ).

Are there any firms or agencies that would assist me in this matter with little or no cost up-front?

You should seek assistance from the Office of the Texas Attorney General Child Support Division. They provide free services for the establishment and collection of child support.
