Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Reverting custody back to father from grandmother

My husbands mother has custody of his 8 year old daughter who resides with us and has for 2 years. She (his mother) still receives child support garished by the state and keeps it. She does not give it to the child. We would like to regain custody of the child but dont make enough to get an attorney and make to much for legal aid. Can I do the paperwork myself? How do I do this? Please help us, our child does not want to live with her grandmother

she wants to stay with us. Thank you.

Forms and instructions for your project may be found in your local county law library in the Texas Litigaiton Guide under Family Law. Some people use these forms with no problem, but your problem needs a lawyer.
