Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Revoked license due to DWI

My driver's license has been revoked due to a DWI in 2004. I am a single parent and still drive my 5 yr. old son to school and day care. I also still drive to work. The car I am driving is under someone elses name. My question is...does this make me an unfit parent and can I lose custody of my child....and will I get the people in trouble who signed their name on the vehicle I am driving? Thanks for any advice.

Re: Revoked license due to DWI

Driving while license suspended is expensive. The fine alone can be as much as $500. An occupational drivers license that would allow you to commute to work, take your children to school and essentially do everyhing but drive to and from the bar.

For first time DWIs the process is relatively simple.

Re: Revoked license due to DWI

If you have an occupational license to drive, you're OK. If you had the child in the car with you when you got the DWI, then you're in trouble. If you driving without a license, you're in trouble. Better get busy and fix it.
