Do I have rights to our home?
We were married in 1999,and up til 2004,were seperated for 4 yrs. I lost where I was living and my ''estranged'' husband let me use a spare room in ''our'' trailor that is parked on his parent's land.
He is going to Colorado to work,and they are talking about selling the trailor{him and his mom} I am mentally disabled and am on ssi and food stamps. I have no where to go...I have 4 dogs and 3 cats that are my children.
What are my rights concerning ''our'' trailor on his parent's land,who by the way do not like me,and IF I were to get the trailor,they would make me move it...I have no money and no place to put it IF I got it,and I could NOT afford the $660.00 a month payment,or lot space if it came to that,I get $572.00 in ssi per month.
Everything we ever had was always HIS,he's very greedy.
He also just filed Bankruptcy and won as well.
I have a phone phobia,I am anti social,agoraphobic,etc.

In Texas, a spouse has the duty to support the other spouse during the marriage.
If don't serve him in Texas, then you will need his new address in Colorado to serve him with the legal paperwork. Be sure to get his new employer's name and address as well as his new home address in Colorado.
Anything accumulated during the marriage is normally community property unless it was a gift or inheritance.
You might be able to get some temporary spousal support if you file for divorce and serve the husband with a temp. order hearing. The temp. spousal support will be based on his income. The less he makes, the less money you will receive. It is usually for only a few months (Sometimes only one or two months to help you move and get back on your feet.)
I would suggest you locate an attorney in your area that can help you.
However, you are going to have to learn to be self-sufficient. It does not sound like you can afford the mobile home and all the costs of the pets.
I would look for a pro bono attorney. Perhaps Lone Star Legal can assist you.
You can email the State Bar of Texas for leads for pro bono attorneys in your area.
However, you are going to have to be able to go to their office to meet with them and are going to have to talk to them on the phone. There might be a few attorneys that are willing to deal with you via email, but you are going to have to appear in court in order to testify.
If you have a social worker, I would also contact that person for leads and help.
