Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My rights

My husband has been diagnosed with HIV. This comes from an affarie he had with a man before I met him. I was not informed of this and it is very upsetting. My husband is our only means of support and we have 5 children in our household,3 of which are his and 2 are mine, we have none together. I feel stuck and need to know what I can do to get out of this and still have a home. He has a history of family violence and I feel that he resents the fact that I don't have HIV. Are there any programs I need to look into? Please help me in this situation.

Re: My rights

Exposing you to a disease is grounds for fault in a divorce case which could allow a greater division of property in your favor. All of this is subject to proof which will require evidence and testimon - perhaps expert testimony which could cost more than a routine divorce. You need to consult with a lawyer in your area about specifics.
