Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

rights terminated by cps

My child was five months old when cps took him away. I was using drugs and my childs father abused me. I worked to get my child back and the father did nothing. His rights were terminated by cps. I received a check in the mail from the fathers grandparents. If I were to accept the check would I be obligated to allow them to see my child?

Re: rights terminated by cps

Generally, courts will order reasonable possession of or access to a grandchild by a grandparent based on a few items that the maternal or paternal grandparents show. This would be regardless of whether or not you accept funds from the grandparents for the beneift of the child. If my law firm can assist you with this legal matter or any other legal issue, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
