Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Rights of the widow.

My husband died recently and I have not been acknowledged as his wife. His children from a former marriage have taken over everything that was his. That's including our home, his bank account, property, and anything he inherited form his mother's estate. His former wife (their mother) is saying that she is his wife and it was displayed in the obituaries that way. When I asked the funeral home who gave that information they told me that the former wife ad one my husband's daughter and his son did. This after the funral home was told who his legal wife was. I want to know what my rights are and if I am entitled to anything.

Re: Rights of the widow.

You need to retain the services of an attorney that does a lot of probate.

Check with friends and family and see if they know someone they can recommend.

Good luck!

Accepting your representation that you are the legal widow, the children and the ex-wife are guilty of theft and can be charged at the local police dept. or sherrif's office.
