rights of a 15year old child

what age can a child 15yrs. old choose whom he lives with. Mother has full custody and wants to put him in military school several states away. child would like to live with grandparents or uncle.

When you say full custody, do you mean sole custody?

18 year olds can decide where they live, 15 year olds can voice their opinion to the judge (12 and older). That opinion, however, is as it relates to other conservators. Until there is a court order, giving standing to the grandparents or the uncle, then there is no forum for the 15 year old to voice his opinion.

Where is the father? Odds are he is the one who has the best standing to oppose the mother, although one might ask why the mother feels military school is necessary.
