What rights do a 17 year old have in the state of Texas?

A 17 year old is still a "child" according to law and most rights belong to the parents or conservators. In a criminal action, a 17 year old is considered an adult, however.
There are also some parental rights that a judge will not enforce for a 17 year old, but that is up to the individual judge.
