What are rights/responsibilities for a parent of a 17 year old who moved out due to not wanting to abide by rules of the house?

For criminal purposes a 17 year old is an adult.
For civil purposes, you are responsible for some of his acts until the moment he turns 18.
I guess you will be counting the days. The moment he/she turns 18 then you are totally off the hook!
