Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Rule 11 Agreement

Under Texas Family Law, is there any way that a Rule 11 Agreement can be challenged or overturned before the final hearing on a divorce? Is there a time frame, such as 30 days, in which to appeal the terms of the Rule 11?

Re: Rule 11 Agreement

It depends upon the facts of the case.

A Rule 11 agreement is akin to a court order in that a party may request to be released from it if the circumstances change. However, the court will not look kindly on the "I changed my mind" explanation or the "I didn't understand what was happening" explanation.

I suggest you hire a lawyer who specializes in family law.
