A Runaway Child's medical expenses

If a 17 year old leaves home against the legal parents will and goes to live with another adult family member (an older sister) and the parent continues to pay for and provide medical insurance coverage, is the parent responsibile for the co-pay for medical treatment?

The parent is responsible for the minor child until the child reaches the age of 18, or is emancipated. If there is no resolution to the problems at home, the parent may want to consider discussing emancipation with the child.
