Samesex Marriage Name Change

My boyfriend and I are getting married in San Francisco. Can I use a same-sex marriage license from another state to change my name here in Texas?

Re: Samesex Marriage Name Change

Texas does not recognize same sex marriage. Might make an interesting case for recognition of other state's laws, but I doubt that Texas conservative would allow that case to prevail. You could change your name by other means. I'm sure there are many good lawyers in Austin who could help you with this.
