Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Sealed adoption, Child support
My husbands children from a previous marriage have been adopted by their step parent for almost two years. We recently started having current child support orders withheld from his paycheck. My husbands exwife never sent the final decree to the child support office, and we never received it either. How can we obtain a copy of the decree if the records are sealed? Also, what about the fact that she hasnt sent it in?

Hmm. this is a very interesting question. Here is what I suggest. Assuming that you recieved a copy of the Petition to Adopt or a Notice, draft and file a Petition to Terminate Child Support coupled with a Request to Admit the adoption and Motion to Produce. You will find out one way or the other if there was an adoption. You will need to hire an attorney as this is probably more complicated than a non-attorney can handle. Good Luck.

Mr. Padove is correct (of course). These things do not happen without notice, hearing and an opportunity to appear. I think you might have ignored these things (if there was an adoption). Also, the AG does not take money out of paychecks without notice and a hearing. You will have to check with the IN AG's office about that.
