Hi I am seeking legal advice. I just got married on the 22nd of July and now my "husband " says he wants a divorce or anulment. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to get married and if he wasn't then he needs to tell me before we go to the wedding planner because I had to
Pay her that day. We got married in witchata falls at the court house and was going to have our wedding ceremony this weekend. He comes in the house on this passed Tues after being at the library and tells me " I can't do this I don't want to be married anymore" so now I'm stuck with the bill for the wedding that I paid for and the rings. What do I need to do? I called him yesterday to asked about the status on our anulment and he said I don't have to be there for him to get an anulment he said he was told that only one party has to be there and sign. Is that legal? We also have a child together previous to this marriage.

I don't know if your facts are such that he can get an annulment. But you have to be properly served for the case to proceed. And if you are served, you should file an answer (general denial) with the court ASAP. Once you do that, he cannot proceed without you.
I don't know how your debt is going to be handled. You can probably return the rings and get at least some money back. That will reduce that debt. But the wedding expenses are hard to return. I would not allow him to get a default annulment until the issues of (1) the debt; (2) child support; and (3) conservatorship of the child are ironed out.
