Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I separated from my ex-husband in 2007, he went to prison in 2008. My divorce was final in July 2010, he was released from prison in September 2010. He did not show up in court because he was in prison, I financially took care of our daughter from 2007 to 2010 all by myself. Can I collect on back child support from 2007-2010. My divorce decree states he begin paying child support thirty days after his release in 2010.

Based on what you've told us about the decree, the answer is "no," you can't go back and collect child support for a period of time when he was in prison.
