Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am separated from my husband. I have not filed for legal separation. Am I responsible for his personal credit card(his name only) charges, medical expenses, any personal debt?

Do I need to file for legal separation to be protected from his debt?

You are not personally responsible for his debt, unless it is a debt for groceries or medical care.

If you and he have any joint debts, you are responsible for those.

In Texas, there's no such thing as "filing for legal separation."
