Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My separated spouse and I have signed a promissory note stating a certain amount of money he is to give me for bills each month and he's in default. There are specific terms stated in the promissory note if he were to default on the payments. How can I begin the process to collect the money he owes me?

You can sue him in a Court of competent jurisdiction.

But it sounds as if what you have may not be a promissory note.

I suggest that you file for divorce, and get a Judge to make some temporary orders. Those are enforceable by contempt.
