Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I've been seperated from my wife since October 2006 and I lived with her in 2008 for 8 months. We are ready to get a mutaul simple divorce. During our seperation, I did send her money for the kids, but not on a regular basis. We still are friends (?), so I didn't see the need for a paper trail from money I sent her, but she'll acknowledge that I did. Will I owe child support for the years we weren't together? .....She lives with her parents in Texas since we got seperated and I currently live in Washington State.

If she pushes for it, she might get some kind of credit in the property division - she would tell the Judge "I was the sole support for these children for most of those years we were separated, so you should (in all fairness) give me more than half of the community property."

If she doesn't push for it, then it just won't come up.
