Seperation / Divorce

My husband and I have recently decided to seperate. I am currently staying with my sister. I have been looking into getting an apartment, and just wanted to know if there is any type of abandonment laws / issues that may come up should this go further to a divorce. We have no children, I am just speaking of property and possesions, being that i left the home and he stayed. Thank You

You do not give up your property rights because you left the home. Most couples find it better to live in separate places during the pendency of divorce.
