Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Seperation

My husband and I have been seperated (aka not living togethor) For almost 2 years now. He left when I was 4 months pregnant. We have yet to file any legal documents. I am now ready to file since he isn't helping hardly at all with our daughters financial needs. My question is this I have kept track of everything he has bought for her or money given to me for her since he left. When I fiel will he be made to pay any back child support for the past 19 months? Or will the child support just be set up from the time I actully get to file?

Re: Seperation

You very well may get retroactive support. Could also be a factor in awarding you more than half of the marital estate.
