Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Serve wife papers in Philippines

I'm a US. Citizen currently living in Texas. I'm trying to divorce my filipino spouse. She has a green card but is currently residing in the Philippines. I was wondering how will I be able to serve her while she is in the Philippines. Also, what legal recourse will she have as she does not want the divorce.

Re: Serve wife papers in Philippines

Your attorney can file for divorce in Texas. She can be served (it costs more, obviously) in the Philippines. I do not know if she has recourse through a Filipino court, but if she is properly served, the Texas court will process the divorce.
