Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was just served papers yesterday to be in court at 9:00 a.m.on Monday morning. The father of my child is trying to get custody of my son. Is there a way to stop this? or can we at least move the date back so I have time to get my things in order?

It sounds like you have a hearing on Monday. You need to appear. You can ask for more time but it's up to the Judge.

If you don't appear then he automatically wins.

I don't know where you live but PAT BUSHMAN at 713.807.9405 is an excellent attorney and a real fighter. I'm booked now and I don't go outside Harris County. Please tell PAT that FRAN sent you.
